As you have heard in the news, heavy rains and floods wreaked havoc in India in the past weeks, causing destruction and death on the way. Interlock’s projects in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh (see Child Labour Programme) were affected by the rain and we are now working to help save the hostel for the children and assist the population of those areas. Unfortunately the village of Vadad Hasol was heavily hit by the flood, the rain provoked a landslide which killed 10 people, including a family of 8, destroyed agricultural land, crops and also wiped out every means of access to the villages
